Sing your Heart Out around the Magdalen Estate

There are lots of opportunities to sing around the Magdalen EstateWhatever your age or musical tastes, joining a choir and getting the chance to sing your heart out on a regular basis, in a supportive environment with other like-minded people, can be a wonderful thing. If you’ve lived in the Magdalen Estate area for a while, or perhaps have just moved and are looking for ways in which to get involved in the local community, there are several choirs for you to have a look at, one of which is sure to suit you.
– Festival Chorus, based between Wandsworth and Clapham Commons, is a large local choir for which there are no auditions. Rehearsals are held once a week, with three chances to perform in concerts per year.
South London Choir, based in Balham and who meet every Tuesday night, offer their members the chance to sing everything from Abba to Mozart, to belt out everything from classical to really rocking tunes.
– For a more exclusive choir experience, for those that really know their singing stuff, Thames Philharmonic Choir based in Putney may be the place to go. With several concerts in prestigious central London venues throughout the year, your vocal chords will get a work out with classical pieces galore.
