Rainy Days on the Magdalen Estate

rainy days will never be boring on the magdalen estateWe all know how rainy days have the knack of  making you feel like there’s nothing fun to do, anywhere, ever. However, being locals of the Magdalen Estate, we know that’s not the case, particularly with so many original and fun things available at our disposal. So, if you’re stuck indoors, why not head out and try one of these great suggestions to make your day that much more interesting:
– For those with a flair for baking, You Make a Cake situated on Bellevue Road, right next to Wandsworth Common, provides cookery master classes for those with a sweet tooth. The best bit? You get to take home all your creations to share (or not) with your family and friends.
– Tooting Leisure Centre can be reached by walking, cycling or by taking a short bus ride from the Magdalen Estate. The centre has two swimming pools, a gym and sauna room, as well as squash courts and various exercise classes running throughout the week.
– Battersea Arts Centre, the old town hall which has been converted into one of the most celebrated theatre venues in London and is close by on Lavender Hill, has a ‘pay what you can’ scheme on Tuesday evenings. Perfect for last minute tickets at a price that suits everyone!
If you’ve got any other rainy day ideas for those living in and around the Magdalen Estate, please do get in touch and let us know, and your idea may well be featured in our blog. We look forward to hearing from you!
