Parent and Baby Activities around Magdalen Estate

common ground is great place to take babyThere’s nothing like having a little one around the house, and enjoying having a new addition to the family. As with many areas of the London, the Magdalen Estate offers a safe and attractive environment for children to grow up in, as well as a host of activities to keep them occupied and stimulated. The Common Ground Café, which sits next to the dog free area on Wandsworth Common, both play host to a number of activities for parents and children to enjoy together, one of which is the Wednesday morning drop-in music class, run by Blueberry Playsongs. The half-hour long session is led by a music professional, who plays popular nursery rhymes and songs on an acoustic guitar, all the while encouraging participants to join in with the singing and dancing, and there is even the chance for the babies to play their own instruments.
If you’re looking for something a little more active, the Buggy Fit class allows new mums to let off steam, and still keep an eye on their children, with exercises designed to involve a buggy!
For more information about activities such as these in and around the Magdalen Estate, the Wandsworth Council website contains great directories, or calling into the venues themselves can also be useful. If you find a class that you find particularly enjoyable, why not let us know about it, and we can share your discovery on our blog
