Boris calls for Olympic Volunteers all over London

magdalen estate residents can help make the games happenWith the 2012 Olympics just around the corner, Mayor of London Boris Johnson has launched another promotional campaign to find city residents to act as London Ambassadors for the thousands of visitors who will be travelling to the UK from all over the world in order to catch a glimpse of the games. One of the campaign videos recently appeared in the online version of the Wandsworth Guardian, the free local news source that is delivered in and around the Magdalen Estate. The idea behind this is to get people who live in our fine city, of all ages and all walks of life, to volunteer their time, and in return have the opportunity to see how the games are organised and co-ordinated, as well as being part of something incredibly exciting- a once in a lifetime chance.
Maybe you, or someone you know who lives in the Magdalen Estate area is thinking of putting themselves forward to work as a London Ambassador, or maybe you’ve started the process of becoming a Gamesmaker. Perhaps you’d like to let us know what you’re most looking forward to about the Olympics! Whatever your thoughts, please do get in touch and share them with us.
